The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Portugal and non-resident Ambassador to Cape Verde, Ana Ilić, attended a gala dinner held in Lisbon to mark the 50th anniversary of Cape Verde’s independence.

The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, senior officials from both countries, and representatives of the Cape Verdean diaspora in Portugal. Among the distinguished guests were the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and the Prime Minister of Portugal, Luís Montenegro.

In his address, Prime Minister Correia e Silva reflected on Cape Verde’s path from independence to its present status as a middle-income country.
