40th anniversary of Portugal's accession to the European Community marked

The Ambassador of Serbia to Portugal, Ana Ilić, attended the celebration marking the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s signing of the Treaty of Accession to the European Community.
The event, held under the auspices of National Commissioner Carlos Coelho, was presided over by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. It was also attended by the President of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco; Prime Minister Luís Montenegro; the current President of the European Council, António Costa; the former President of the European Commission, José Manuel Durão Barroso; and many other high-ranking officials.
