Traditional New Year Reception of the President of the Republic of Cabo Verde

The President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, José Maria Neves, received New Year greetings from the diplomatic corps. In his address to ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and national institutions, President Neves emphasized the importance of friendly relations and cooperation between Cabo Verde and the international community as pillars of development and a shared future.

On this occasion, the President expressed his wish that the year 2026 be a year of peace and harmony, and voiced his hope that ambassadors and representatives of international organizations accredited in Cabo Verde would continue, as they have until now, to convey and understand the aspirations and challenges of the country in an appropriate manner.
