A reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia for the participants of the "Web Summit" from our country. The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Portugal, Her Excellency Ana Ilić, the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Dr. Jelena Begović, and the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Marko Čadež, addressed those present.

"I hope that this is the beginning of a tradition and that next year there will be even more of you at the Web Summit, as well as even more women. You are the best that Serbia has and I am sure that you will represent us in the best world," said Ambassador Ilić.

The priority of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and the Government of Serbia is to support the innovation ecosystem.

"We are here because of young people who are brave, creative, and have great ideas. We are here to support them. I invite you to make the most of this fair and connect with new investors and partners," said Minister Begović.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Čadež, expressed the hope that next year there will be even more of our startups at the fair in Lisbon, so that we will no longer have an island, but the continent of Serbia.
"We will invite the most successful startups from the region to join us here in Lisbon next year. It's wonderful to hang out with these creative young people full of ideas who are creating something new," said Čadež.

Startups with the greatest potential for growth and development were presented with certificates from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The Serbian delegation at the Web Summit in Lisbon consists of almost 400 members.
