Cultural and artistic Group "Srem" from Jakovo performed at the International dance festival "FOLKMONAÇÃO" in a selection of 9 countries. Dancers from Serbia in front of more than 5,000 spectators, among others, introduced themselves to folk dances from southern Serbia. Together with the other participants, they took part in the traditional parade through the streets of Salvatore de Miño.

The "FOLKMONAÇÃO" festival is being held for the 39th time, this year in the border area between Portugal and Spain in the towns of Monsão and Salvatore de Miño. The festival is organized in cooperation with "The International Council of Folklore and Folk Art Festival Organizations".

The cultural and artistic society "Srem" was founded in 1948, and in its 75-year history, they trained 7,500 dancers and performed in twenty countries and at over 75 international folklore festivals. Today, the society has 200 members, and the work is organized through three children's ensembles, the veterans' ensemble, the first performing ensemble, a singing group, and a folk orchestra.
